PostSubject: Iridescent Medium   Tue May 24, 2011 10:06 am

I've known about and have been using this product for quite a while, but as I've been surfing around the last 6 months or so, I've only seen 2 others using it? Not sure if it's because people haven't heard of it or if it's simply a matter of preference?

The one I use is Winsor & Newton Water Color Iridescent Medium shown here:

It's so easy to use, you can mix it right into your water based colorant, use to make your own mists, use as is and brush over papers or images, etc. It has a high shimmer density so a little goes a really long way. I've only ever bought 1 bottle and it still looks practically new. I bought one for my oldest son and his looks barely used even though he's quite liberal with it on every project he creates!

If you're interested in this item, it's easily found in local craft stores w/the art/paint supplies.

I've seen it but never gave it much thought. Sounds like it could be fun to play with. happy

I have some and love it. I paint it on or use it as a mist, you can also mix it with paints to make them all shimmery and gorgeous.

I love it too! Yes, you can mix w/paints and then apply...or you can paint first, let it try, then add a shimmery overcoat too. There are soooo many possibilities!
