Happy New Year and welcome to the Paper Secrets January Color Challenge!

Now that Christmas has just passed and it's New Years (and Winter here in the US), I have shimmery metallics in my head. Gold goes so well with traditional or vintagy Christmas colors and silver goes so well with blues, whites, and Wintery papers.

My January challenge for you is to scrap a page, card or altered project using GOLD OR SILVER on it! You don't need to use both. Just Gold Or Silver on your paper based project.

It's been so long since I scrapped a non recipe layout, I almost forgot how! I think these photos of my daughter are from last summer. Felt great, thanks for the fun challenge!

Great job everyone! I am struggling with mine. I am putting it down for a bit but home to pull it together later.

Joyce, I bought the mesh from a artsy online shop . . . . . it has a glue backing so when heated it melted onto the paper but keeps it's metallic shine. I've had it in my stash for years and this challenge was a perfect reason to use it. Now I wish I could remember where I got it . . . . .

Holy buckets - just realized my "i" fell off in the word exhibit . . . now to go search for it . . . .

I was so focused on the unique mesh and with the graphic bg, it's kind of like an optical illusion...I had to go back and look to see what you meant...I was able to read the title the first time, look over your whole layout and never even noticed the dot for the "i" was there, but the stem wasn't? LOL And I thought I was a fairly observant person.

This challenge was so much fun, I did another today! I'll show ya tomorrow, since I'm too lazy to upload the photos today.

This is my first ever post here so I hope this all works right!

I chose silver as I had a photo of our newest family member that was just screaming to be scrapped. She really is a beautiful girl!
