Ok, I have 2 questions....

1) do we have to have bought from the Paper Secrets store or can it be something I already bought at my LSS?

2) And did you mean mono-chromatic, as in all the same color palette?

I love the sketch also! We have all day crop tomorrow...something special to work on!

talk about being lucky...I'm away on a 4-day scrap weekend with the girls (hotel has free internet, yeah). I brought extra stuff in anticipation of being able to see the sketch and scrap a card! So while the other girls are still sleeping, I sat in my corner of the suite with my scraps of paper, embellishments and used my cell phone (sorry if photo quality isn't great) to take the finished product so I can post it. :)

I used:
mono tone
felt (my flower)
and rhinestones.

thanks for another awesome challenge.

She meant monochromatic...all colors in the same color family like different shades of pink for example.

Fussy cutting is also called detailed cutting or fancy cutting...where you take an image printed on the paper and cut it out. If you take a peek at the March card challenge thread, for our examples for the challenge, Nicolle, Joyce and I all fussy cut flowers. http://papersecrets.friendhood.net/t2358-march-card-sketch-challenge-due-march-31st

Does fussy cutting have to be all hand cutting? I ask because I have seen some done where it is started with a cutting machine and then turned into intricate rolled flowers, etc.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXH_aorMFNU&feature=related

Can someone let me know before I try this? I was thinking of trying this technique for it.

Thanks
Colleen

I should have seen this part first!

It has to be from a printed image...I didn't catch that. Sorry.

I thought it just meant from paper in general.

Scratch my idea from the last post and save it for another project.

:)

So just to be double clear, fuzzy cutting isn't "fuzzy", it's just cutting out a printed image?

hehe...yes fussy not fuzzy and yes, fussy cutting is cutting out an image...fussy as in exact, finicky or very particular about detail. So not rough cutting or punching a shape w/an image inside it, but following the outline of the image. HTH

It can be anything in the store, if you purchased it here great if not that's ok also.

Monochromatic is Is simply shades of the same color.
